Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Florida

Arrive in Jacksonville today and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, meet your Tour Manager and traveling companions in the lobby at 5:00 p.m. for a welcome dinner. Meal: D

Day 2: Travel to St. Augustine

Arrive on Florida’s beautiful Palm Coast and America’s oldest city, St. Augustine. Founded by Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565, St. Augustine is a unique city filled with colonial Spanish neighborhoods, magnificent buildings and a charm all its own. Crossing the temporary bridge built to carry traffic while the famous Bridge of Lions is being restored, we come to Anastasia Island and your beachfront hotel which features an oceanside swimming pool, lounge and easy beach access. Meals: B, D

Day 3: Dolphins and Daytona

Travel south along the Atlantic coast today to Marineland Dolphin Adventure. Opened in June of 1938 as Marine Studios, a facility used to film underwater motion pictures, Marineland today has become the forerunner in dolphin conservation. Visit the facility and see the dolphins, turtles, sharks and moray eel that inhabit the tanks. Continue south to Daytona. Here, visit the famous Daytona International Speedway, the king of the NASCAR Racing Circuit. See the track, the pit area and the Speedway’s Walk of Fame along with the Motorsports Hall of Fame. Later, return to Anastasia Island. Meals: B, L

Day 4: Free Day

A free day to do as much or as little as you please. The motorcoach will be available for a transfer to St. Augustine for those who may wish to go shopping or visit one of St. Augustine’s fun museums. Meal: B

Day 5: Cumberland Island Cruise, Amelia Island Alhambra Dinner Theatre

Journey north today along the ocean to Amelia Island and come to Fort Clinch State Park. The well-preserved garrison and uniformed soldiers give realistic narratives of the War Between the States. In the charming Fernandina Beach area, visit the old-fashioned ice cream parlor or stop in Florida’s oldest saloon, the Palace, with its intricately carved wood and ornate ceiling. Then climb aboard your vessel for a narrated cruise along the Cumberland Island National Seashore. Marvel at the beautiful coastlines, salt marshes, maritime forests while spotting the abundant wildlife, from wild horses and sea turtles to deer and wild turkeys. Dinner tonight is at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre, Jacksonville’s premier dinner theatre whose history goes back 30 years and past shows have included  The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Singin’ in the Rain to name a few. Day 6: Free Day

Today is another free day to enjoy at leisure. The motorcoach will be available for a transfer to St. Augustine for those who may wish to go shopping or visit one of St. Augustine’s fun museums. Meal: B

Day 7: St. Augustine Touring

Begin the day with a narrated trolley tour of historic St. Augustine, highlighting the city’s exciting past. See the Fernando-Lambias House, built in 1763 and the oldest house in St. Augustine. In the afternoon, visit the Lightner Museum. Located in the heart of the historic district, the Lightner is housed in the former Hotel Alcazar, a Gilded Age resort hotel. Meals: B, D

Day 8: Free Day or Optional Orlando Theme Parks

Today is a day free to enjoy at leisure. If you prefer, you may want to go to Orlando for the day. We will provide the transportation and you will have the opportunity to choose between one of the many Walt Disney World attractions here. Your Tour Manager will be happy to discuss your options with you. The choices are yours! Meal: B

Day 9: More St. Augustine Touring

Today, visit the massive Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. This Spanish-built masonry fortress was constructed to defend St. Augustine and the Atlantic trade route. In the afternoon, boarding the Victory III for a relaxing cruise of Matanzas Bay. The beauty of the bay includes the red-tiled city roofs and the wildlife, such as dolphins and manatees which inhabit the bay. Meals: B, D

Day 10: Final Free Day

Today is the final free day on Anastasia Island. The motorcoach will be available for a transfer to St. Augustine for those who may wish to go shopping or visit one of St. Augustine’s fun museums. Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner at historic Columbia Restaurant. Dining on the award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine in a lavishly decorated atmosphere is the perfect way to end your trip. Meals: B, D

Day 11: Travel Home

After breakfast, a group transfer is available to Jacksonville’s International Airport for flights out
after 11:00 am. Meal: B
