I believe Mayflower is in the sweet spot! We are a mix of old school values and new school solutions. John and I founded Mayflower in 1979, and even today our entire staff brings to the table overwhelming experience and tradition. We started our tour company exclusively doing North American destinations. By learning what American travelers wanted from us on U.S. tours, we transferred that knowledge to our international River Cruises and World destinations.

For example, while on a European River Cruise (on vessels exclusively chartered by Mayflower,) you will perceive that most of the itineraries and stops are the same for every river cruise company. They may look the same, but there are many, many differences. What varies is the river boat vessel itself and the staff, plus most importantly - the entire experience. Mayflower is a first-generation tour company dedicated to giving our travelers the very best touring experience at the very best value.

On our Danube River Cruise, two nights in Prague is included in the land portion, along with the hotel overnights, meals and Tour Manager. We position Prague as a necessary part of the Danube River Cruise experience. We know that Prague must be included - and very few other travel companies think that way.
