December, 2013

The holidays are upon us and everyone I know is working hard to make them the best ever. I love to decorate for the season and so I am forwarding to you some ideas.

Remember when you were a kid how we loved to sit by the Christmas tree and watch the bubble lights? I have found a new way to use them. Put clear bubble lights in your
dining room chandelier. It’s so festive, and when the lights are on, the bubbles in the lights are fun to watch. My grandchildren just love them.

Another quick idea is to go to your old jewelry and pull out decorative pins that you won’t use and put them on the holiday packages. I think it adds a lot and is very personal for that special someone.

I am in the midst of planning my holiday menu and I thought I would forward my son-in-law’s favorite “delicacy,” Corn Pudding.

Corn Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

• 5 eggs
• 4 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1/3 cup butter, melted
• 1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn
• 1⁄4 cup white sugar
• 2 (14.75 ounce) cans cream-style corn
• 1⁄4 cup milk

Directions

1.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 2 quart casserole dish.
2.
In a large bowl, lightly beat eggs. Add melted butter, sugar, and Milk. Whisk in cornstarch. Stir in corn and creamed corn. Pour Mixture into prepared casserole dish
3.
Bake for 1 hour

From our home to yours have a very blessed holiday. Let us take the time to enjoy this festive time of the year with family and friends.

Happy Holidays,
