Mayflower Tours proudly welcomes Sales Manager, Karen S. Duncan

Karen is originally from Chicago, Illinois and came to Texas to go to college. She graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in Recreation & Leisure Studies with a minor in Marketing. Recently, Karen received her Masters of Science from the University of Illinois in Recreation/Sports/Tourism Management. She started her sales career as an agent and sales manager with Allstate Insurance. Karen started her travel company Peeks Cruises & Tours in 1995. She is an adjunct Professor of Travel & Tourism at Austin Community College for 10 years. Karen has a Certified Travel Counselor certification from The Travel Institute and many Destination Specialist designations. She has hosted a travel talk show on AM radio in Austin and Blog Talk Radio, Travel Time with Karen. Karen started a Meetup group – The Travelers Club.

In her spare time when she's not traveling for fun, Karen enjoys spending time outdoors by the pool with her husband and their German Shepherd puppy, Thunder. She also enjoys working out and deep sea fishing.

Karen is really passionate about the travel industry. She loves seeing and helping people experience a new destination and culture for the first time. There is something magical about connecting with people, food, music and the environment of a new place. And there is nothing more fun than hearing people talk about how they will remember their trip for forever.
