Often referred to as "Dracula's Castle," Bran Castle is a historic fortress located in central Romania, known for its association with the fictional character Count Dracula, created by the author Bram Stoker in 1897. Originally constructed in the 14th century as a military fortress to defend against invading forces, the castle served as a vital point in the defense system of the region. Although Bran Castle is not the actual inspiration for Stoker's novel “Dracula”, it has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Romania due to its proximity to the fictional character's origins. This has led to its popular nickname and its inclusion in Dracula-related folklore.
